You play. The cat keeps score. You have fun and get better.
Groovy Cat is a family of apps for practicing music and dance. Each one has the same cat, the same score and the same rule: every hit, every step and every chord gets measured, so you can see yourself improving.
The cat is a real drawing, made by hand by a daughter of the studio. Each app changes its medal.
Groovy Drum
Play the drums. The cat tells you if you are on time.
Plug in an electronic kit and play along with the song. The cat measures every hit to the millisecond: early, late or right in the pocket. Upload a song and it writes the drum part out for you.
In closed beta with friends. Native on iOS, Windows, Android, Mac and Linux.
Groovy Dance
Just dance with any YouTube video.
Paste the link of a choreography and dance. The cat watches you through the camera and grades every step; nobody appears on screen. Slow it down, mirror it and loop the hard part to learn it piece by piece.
In closed beta at groovydance.app.
Groovy Chord
The chords of any song, as it plays.
Paste a YouTube link and the chords appear on a tape that moves with the song, bass notes included. Slow it down, loop the hard part, keep your lists.
Live. Free, in the browser.

The cat measures, it does not have opinions.
Every hit, step or chord gets a number or a verdict. No “nice try”.
Score and stars, like a game.
Short lessons with a result at the end, so getting better is something you can see.
Your music, not a catalogue.
A YouTube link or your own file. The apps listen and work it out from the sound.
English and Spanish, on what you have.
Phone, tablet, computer. Groovy Drum is native; the others run in the browser.

Groovy Sing
An app to practice singing: pick a song, sing along, and the cat tells you which notes landed.
